Custom Curriculum Planning Services
This Service Description is part of the Services Agreement (as defined in the Services Guide) and describes various Services that Cisco will provide to You. Capitalized terms, unless defined in this document, have the meaning in the Services Guide.
1. Summary
1.1 Description
This service provides a training needs assessment and customized curriculum plan, which may include standard and customized instructor-led training and self-directed training recommendations.
2. Cisco (Delivery Partner) Responsibilities
2.1 Curriculum Planning Review (Needs Assessment)
- 2.1.1 Conduct kickoff meetings to define the project scope, schedule, and work breakdown structure in collaboration with the Customer Coordinator.
- 2.1.2 Assign a designated Curriculum Planner (“Planner”) to perform the work and project manage the completion of Services.
- 2.1.3 Engage additional Cisco and/or delivery partner’s team members as necessary to complete Services specified herein.
- 2.1.4 Coordinate, perform and deliver a training needs assessment through data gathering and reconciliation for multiple job roles, technologies, and/or personas. This may include reviewing documentation (job descriptions, network diagrams, training materials), conducting surveys, and interviewing key staff.
- 2.1.5 Analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement.
- 2.1.6 Identify, coordinate, and interview selected Customer staff and work with the Customer coordinator to schedule and execute information-gathering sessions.
- 2.1.7 Participate in regular meetings with the Customer coordinator to discuss project scope, schedule, and provide updates.
2.2 Assessment Analysis Report and Readout
- Provide a presentation summarizing the results of the assessment to the Customer Coordinator and stakeholders. The presentation includes:
- Findings regarding current skill levels and training gaps.
- Identified gaps between current skills and required skills to meet business objectives.
- Recommendations outlining potential training solutions.
2.3 Curriculum Training Plan Final Delivery
- 2.3.1 Create and deliver a Curriculum Training Plan for each technology/functional group assessed. The plan includes:
- Recommended courseware or other learning resources (e.g., practice exams, labs, etc.) to close identified gaps.
- Off-the-shelf Cisco training (with description, objectives, duration, method, and cost).
- Customized training solutions if off-the-shelf options don’t fully address the gaps (with outline, objectives, delivery method, and effort estimate).
- Rationale for each option, including pros/cons analysis.
- Alignment of training recommendations with the customer’s business goals.
2.4 Duration
Services are typically completed within 15 business days per job role/technology from the service start date, barring unforeseen or customer-related delays.
Total service duration is based on the number of job roles/technologies ordered. Service must be finalized on or before the service end date, calculated as Service Start Date + (15 business days × quantity).
Cisco is not liable for delivering past the service end date if completion was not possible due to customer’s lack of engagement.
3. Customer Responsibilities
3.1 Obligations
- 3.1.1 Ensure key Customer staff is available for scheduled interviews and information-gathering sessions.
4. Supplemental Terms or Exclusions/Limitations
4.2 Rescheduling Request
- Customers may request to reschedule up to 18 days prior to the scheduled start date, subject to availability.
- The full value of the service must be debited from the CLCs at the time of reservation.
